Flat Stone Craft

I found this craft on the Enchanted Learning website.

Canadian Pebble Craft

You can paint a river rock to make a wonderful patriotic pebble. They make great paperweights or decorations.

Supplies needed:

  • A smooth, flat, elongated pebble (make sure it's clean)
  • Pencil
  • Red and white tempera paint
  • Brushes
  • Acrylic varnish or other shiny finish (optional)
Choose a smooth, flat, elongated river rock and clean it
Paint the rock's top white. Let the paint dry.
Paint red stripes on both ends of the rock.
Paint a red maple leaf in the white central area.

If you'd like a shiny finish, coat with an acrylic varnish after the paint has dried completely.
